whenever my children have spent some time with their doting grandparents, they are invariably sick (usually in our bed!) The thing is, my mum-in-law is always feeding them; sweets, snacks, fizzy drinks, ice creams etc. When i tell her that they've been sick she always says"Oh, they probably got a bit over excited"
I was just wondering - can you really be sick from excitement?

However when I was about 10 I used to eat a disgusting amount of sugary crap. And not surprisingly, I'd be viciously sick.
Vomiting is simply a response by the body to a heavy excess of any one thing, be it alcohol, sugar, protein, or fat, as the body cannot process such a heavy amount of a single item in one go.
You need to tell the kids grandparents to stop feeding them so much crap, before they get stuck in it like I did. No, you bloody well can't be "sick from excitement", otherwise I'd hurl everytime I get a text message from a girl.
Andy that made me laugh so much!
I agree- they are trying to "spoil" the grandkids by treating them- with all the bad foods!! Maybe you could say that you are going to avoid dairy for a while, since lots of people benefit from this, and helps with asthma, eczema etc. That way they wouldn't be able to give them most of the rubbish. Or you could just be straight with them.
