most of you will think i'm mental but here goes:
my 10 year old daughter is going off to camp in a couple of weeks with the cubs and scouts.
She's already been to a local one, where I took her and picked her up, and she had a great time.
This time though it's for a full week and is a long way from here, in Edinburgh.
Now then, the other night I had the most verisimilious dream I've ever had - my husband came in the bedroom to wake me up. I thought he was blowing his nose but i realised he was quietly crying. he told me softly: 'they've crashed, just like you've said, they've crashed'.
now, i know that it's on my mind that she's going somewhere without me and I'm not in contol. I know that she willl have a fabulous time and it will be good for her, but oh my, the dream was SO real! I felt true heartache and that awful sinking feeling when I realised what he'd meant.
And I just can't get it out of my mind :(

I know I have and they have sometimes come true...it's just how one feels about them. I don't envy you this dilemma...I can';t advise, I know sometimes I would listen to my inner self but don't always do that with regret. But then again....it could just be a dream...this is why I don't envy you with your feelings and what you will be going through. I hope you can resolve it...and I trust your dream will only be that and you can do what you feel is right.

I think it happens to most parents - specially my mam who's a worrier.
Just before my 18th birthday she had a dream about police knocking on the door saying one of us (I'm 1 of 4 - she was so distressed in te dream she dost find out which one) had died of alcohol poisoning.
The next morning I got a talk on alcohol and as everyone will be buying me birthday shots just be careful and all that.
She did not sleep at all that night until we were all back in the house! And she's often awake when I get in from nights out still.
She's dreading me going to Greece with my friends in the summer - therell be no sleep for her for 2 weeks. Poor mam

It's usually your most horrible dreams that are the most vivid - I dreamed I was a serial killer years ago and I could smell the blood and everything but to my knowledge I have never actually killed anyone. You're just worrying about the trip so you are dreaming about something awful happening. Let her go and enjoy herself, she'll have a great time.
I agree that that more traumatic dreams are the ones you remember. I have an awful dream one night where I was being stalked by this freaky killer and woke up just as he was about to come though my window. I was creeping round the flat with a knife before I managed to realitycheck myself and calm down. I've had a couple of very realistic dreams where I've had really think about it to be sure they didn't actually happen. I tend to have similar patterns of dreams as well.
I have very weird vivid crazy dreams. I tell my family and they look at me as if i am nuts. it is all to do with your emotions, feelings, things you have seen and heard. my sister and family are moving back down from scotland to live and have bought a house, i dreamt that the house was a drug den with all drugs hidden in it and the mafia were after them and they were theratning to sacfifice the kids in ou(r family including mine) but we didnt know where drugs were and we were all knocking down all the walls. weird i know!! Its hard because you will worry because of the dream, but you would probably worry anyway!
Crisgal....its only your subconscious saying my baby is growing up and I no longer have control over everything she does... you will have lots of irrational fears as she has less and less need of your actual protection.... because all that feeling and emotion didn't have an outlet it's bubbled up as a worse case scenario dream.... accept it for what it is and let it go...be happy and proud you have a confident happy child who is able to enjoy this little adventure.
