My Daughter is getting Naughtier

My daughter is 2.3 years old. She is generally a well behaved child, she uses her manners and does listen most of the time.

Recently, she has been biting, scratching and slapping. More when she doesn't get her own way. I don't smack her and never would. I do raise my voice when she becomes really naughty and send her to the 'naughty step'.The problem is, she sits there quite happily and it doesn't seem to be working.

She doesn't do this at nursery, so I dont know really!

She won't sit still when i'm changing her or getting her dressed. She refuses to sit and eat her meals at the table. I have tried most things to get her to eat normally and she just winges and runs off to play. I keep sitting her down until she just gets so tearful, i scrape her dinner away. She then screams more as she wanted it.

She's such a pain at the minute. I have stopped her day sleeps as she wasn't sleeping at night and so she is harder to deal with from around 4.00pm, but it's worth it for her to sleep through the night.

Any deas welcome, should i just ignore her tantrums and just take her meals away from her if she plays up. i hate to think of her being hungry is all.

What sort of disciplinary procedures do you use on your kids and do they work?

I'm due another baby in October and i really need her behaviour to improve before then, or i'll go round the bend lol XXXX

i currently work at a nursery with younger children, i feel that when she does this say "oh dear" in a firm and slightly disappointing voice, and tell her no thank you in a firm voice, if it continues sit her on the floor where she is standing so she can think and make her apolagise after and give you a hug.
If that fails, talk to the nursery.
