Bare with me on this one...

Was late for period.. so waited couple of days and did 2x pregnancy tests.. both came back positive.. Then I did a Clearblue Digital test the one that says how far gone you are etc.. which came back Positive too saying i was about 4wks pg..

Now 2 days later (sunday just gone) I started bleeding.. at first it was a bit then stopped but started getting heavier and ended up losing clots..

Went to hospital had tests done and the wee test and bloods came back as "negative" pregnant?!?!?! BUT the doctor did an internal and told me my cervix was nicely tight closed which confused me even more as she also said she can't see where the bleeding is coming from..

Now then she went on to that i probably wasnt pregnant and it was a period?!?! Then changed again to it being a very early miscarriage but again don't count it as a viable pregnancy??

So im confused as hell what on earth is going on. Anyone help please as my brain and emotions up the wall.. been trying to figure it all out with my friend as with them saying cervix was tightly closed then surely couldn't be a period iygwim

As far as I'm aware, it's near on impossible to get a false positive on a pregnancy test (if the pregnancy hormone isn't there, it can't be picked up on), so it's even more unlikely with three of them! I'd say you must have been. I am sorry for you, though. x
1) Missed a period and 2 positive pregnancy tests.

Clearly pregnant.

2) Started to bleed and positive tests become negative.

Almost certainly a miscarriage.

Cervix tightly closed is not diagnostic of anything.

You are no longer pregnant in my opinion and if you continue to bleed then one needs to reassess the situation in the light of an incomplete abortion.

Thankyou that's what I thought.. sqad how many days after is normal to bleed upto.. im still losing clots ok not massive ones but definately there
looby....there is no fixed date as it is very individual, but if you are still losing clots after a period of ten days, then you need to consult your GP as this may herald and incomplete abortion which may well require surgical evacuation (unlikely in my opinion)
