Largest baby I saw born naturally was 14lbs 11 oz just gas and air no stitches.... The mother was fine the rest of us felt the need to walk awkwardly

Was Great Grandma 10 months pregnant by the time she had him...

Probably was actually. He's 87 now. My Aunt has the certificate somewhere. He was the 2nd biggest baby born in Ireland. Only the second.

Also have to take into consideration how accurate the weighing method was.

Unfortunately, huge babies like this often mean that the mother has diabetes.

all my grans babies were over 11lb.....thought makes my eyes water...

Our Daughter was 10lb 9oz, born naturally + quickly....But she did get stuck and made splits >< the midwife was oldschool + wouldn't stich my wife, said she would heal better without.....She struggled to walk for over a month....I was sent for the 'snip' a month later haha!

I know it's not the same subject but I read in our local paper about a lady who had 5 sets of twins and one older child. She's celebrating her 80th birthday and the mid wife who delivered them all is still alive at 100 yrs of age!!!
