I think there may be a printing error with the numbering of Mail on Sunday crosswords this week. Sir Lancelot Crossword and Bare Bones Puzzle usually have the same numbers, but this time they are No.543 and No.542 respectively. What do others think about addressing the envelopes?

I've just had an email from the Puzzles Ed -

"I have heard back from the Mail On Sunday. They are going to alert the checkers to the problem. Their suggestion is to submit answers using the correct numbering (543). But they also say that any solutions which are submitted under 542 WILL still be included in the draw."

Thanks dannyk13. I may do the same myself if Lie-in King doesn't get a reply from the puzzles editor in time for me to use 2nd class post for my entry.
Put, Sunday 02/09/12, next to the number?

Thanks for your suggestion Baldric.
Unfortunately, the Puzzles Ed can't say for sure, but has forwarded my email to the Mail On Sunday for further clarification.

I've checked the recycling & as the puzzles from the last 2 weeks were numbered 541, then 542, I would suggest that this week they should both be 543.

I suspect the sorters would discard a 542 as being too late for inclusion.

I'll post any further info if & when I receive it.
