Worried about menopause

Hi all, I am 37 and my bf is 30 and not ready to have kids yet and don't know when he will be, I have a 9 yr old from a previous marriage but would like a baby with my bf. Is there tests to find out how long I have until menopause?

There's no test that I know of that will predict when you will start the menopause

There are simple blood tests to see if you are perimenopausal. You'll usually have some symptoms though. This usually happens a few years before the realy thing

Generally, if your mother and maternal grandmother had an early one, you are more likely to do so as well

You can have the FSH test but I`m not sure how conclusive that is.

A general guideline is that the menopause for most is between late 40's and early 50's. Like previous post, did your mother or grandmother have an early menopause as this could mean you may also follow suit.

If your periods are still regular your doctor is unlikely to offer you the FSH test unless your mother went through an early menopause.
