Sexual predators who abuse children
A lot of sexual predators who abuse children seem to have had not much physical experience with women of their own age or any lasting relationships. Does anyone think that any men who live on their own or with their parents and seem to have no interest in the opposite sex should be viewed with suspicion? I would have thought that the vast majority of men would need a sexual outlet of some kind, if not women then what? Not my view but something that was suggested to me the other day.

It's probably right to say that such offenders have arrested development, have never advanced to the maturity of a normal man and therefore prey on girls who are beyond puberty and mature in a strictly physical sense, but not otherwise, and who are therefore both vulnerable and not threatening to them'
True paedophiles, men whose sexual fantasies and desires are directed at children below the age of puberty, have perverted sexual development.
Both categories are, thankfully, rare, and directing our attention to men of the description given in the OP would be fruitless, since only a minute percentage would be inclined to the offences and large numbers outside the description are so inclined.

my parents did regard unmarried older men with some suspicion and would occasionally warn us to be careful around X or Y. Their suspicions never proved to be justified, but I think it's a reasonable approach for cautious parents to take and I've never thought the worse of them for it.
Did other people's parents not do the same? I'm surprised.
