when i read this story, my first thought was "that's crossed my mind once or twice" (having had a baby who waits till you are out of the room, takes the dummy out then cries about lack of dummy)
My second thought was that i was shocked - what if the baby had been sick, or needed to cough?
What do you think?

my first thought was 'I bet it's the first time she's done this.'
The baby was in hospital with breathing problems so potentially it was extremely dangerous to do this. I would have thought trained medical staff would know better.
*not the first time' I meant

would like to just point out, that although it crossed my mind, i have never/will never do it!
One can understand frustration but it was unacceptable and one wonders if such an individual is in the right profession.
Bednobs, give baby Bednobs a spare dummy to hold - cuts down on a load of hassle (downside, getting her to give it up when you think she is too old to have one).

she can usually reach the one she's taken out (in fact it's usually still in her hand!) she just likes shouting about it i think
The hospital is investigating - and quite right too - the child was only admitted because of breathing difficulties.

That's horrendous. Some people beggar belief.
