I read somewhere that there s a website where you can trace members of the family's Forces records - does anyone know the address, and does it cost anything to look at? Thankyou to anyone who can help

For a statr, have a look here. Scroll down to 'Requests for Records' https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/ministry-of-defence/about/publication-scheme#apply-for-service-personnel-service-records

You can find some on Ancestry.co.uk or findmypast.co.uk but they aren't free, you need to pay.

Also these are mainly really old ones, for more recent service records you have to send off for them and again, its costs - £30 last time I got any.

Thanks heathfield and CheekyChops - had a quick look and think its not worth £30 to find where my Dad was stationed during WW2 - will try another tack I think.
