I've just seen this on facebook;

"School started 5 mins ago and kids are still sparko in bed lol. ..not going to wake them they have had such a busy week"

This bothers me (not that it should as the family is nothing to do with me) but I can't decide if it should.

Would you give your kids the first day of term off if the two weeks they just had off tired them out or do you think, it's only one day, it doesn't really matter?

rof zebo, sad but possibly true!
Sher, I miss having mine around too. I love the holidays, and always look forward to them.

It means I can stay in my onesie until 3.30.... :P

It does matter and it is irresponsible, education is mostly free in the UK, if they don't go then they are disadvantaged, if it was taken away or chaged for how would the parents react?
The whole attitude of do what you like don't put any effort into anything makes me want to vomit. then when you cant or don't want a job go on welfare
Nope. Against the law. Stupid and thoughtless.
