Before I ask the real question, have any of you ladies used the fertility monitor?

The Pregnacare conception for women contains 400mcg folic acid, so does that mean I can stop taking the folic acid supplement I was already taking?

Tbh I'd get your OH to go to the doc and have a sperm count, as the very first thing I'd do. It's not a nice thing to ask a bloke to do, but it can rule out or confirm very quickly one reason why you're not getting pregnant. If his sperm is strong and active, then you do all the things you're doing, IMO. When I was having fertility treatment all those years ago, it was the bloke that the doctor checked first, as the most obvious first step.
400mcg is fine. No need for an additional supplement.
Might as well throw everything at it and get hubby tested too. I think they want you to have been trying for 2 years before they will investigate. You might get your AMH (i.e. egg count) done on the NHS too, not sure. Would hope so, I should imagine its a much cheaper test than a sperm count.

I'll have to bring up the subject to hubby on getting his sperm count checked.
We have been trying for 2yrs and my GP has already sent me for a scan to check for pcos, as I get really, really heavy and irregular periods. That came back fine.
I have now got an appointment in 12th July at the hospital to see someone from the gynaecology department. I don't really know what they would do at this appointment?!
Another question about the monitor - on my days off, I sometimes like to have a lie in. So could I do a test during the testing window and then go back to sleep after? Because I would have tested from the first urine of the day already

Yes I would get up during your test window and then go back to sleep, otherwise the monitor will click on to the next day and it needs to "understand" your particular pattern so follow it to the letter, at least for the few couple of months. Hopefully you'll start to see when you normally ovulate so, if you miss a test on cycle day 10 for example, you won't have to worry too much about it if you know you will ovulate much later.
The heavy periods might be why you're a bit anaemic, my mum was very anaemic for the same reason. As you're irregular too i think you've done the right this by getting a monitor as being irregular would make it difficult to pinpoint ovulation. Now the monitor will do that for you. I know you can look for other signs like feeling for mucus but I never could really get the hang of that!
Ask at the gynae appt about getting the tests we mentioned.
