Excited but now comes the planning, the budget and all that goes with it. We have chosen the best option for us, at the end of the day thats all that matters.
We have wanted to be husband and wife for a while but now the date is booked, it seems real!

Oh, how exciting! It's been eight years since our wedding, but I remember how much we both enjoyed the planning and putting everything together for The Day - congratulations to you both!
Just enjoy it. I wish you both all the very best xx
lovely.........have you been together long ?
Lovely, many congratulations to you both :)
Congratulations.

How exciting. Good luck with all the preparations
Congratulations, I hope it is a perfect day for you both.
Remember, a wife is not just for Christmas!

It is wives...right?
Congratulations jd, it is your day, do what you want , not to please guests !! x
Congratulations jd, I hope all goes well
Hats out, AB gals; polished shoes out, AB boys - we have us a wedding!

Congrats jd - all happiness, health and wealth......and all the rest!
Excuse me jd, DTC, where are you and how are you enjoying your break?
Excuse me, jd...made jt through to NB and meeting nungate, queenie, minty, slinky-kate and alba tomorrow lunch time.... Been off re Ab as the e-mail has been dodgy until getting here - and an extremely boozy birthday party for my god daughter (even by their parents' standards). Beautiful arriving here yesterday evening, very calm and a lovely pale sunshine over the links, the harbour and wee broon toon in front, the Bass Rock dominating behind (a bit like minty with a whip in hand). The dawn, starting at 6 this morning, was similarly impressive and reminded me of how I loved living on the other side of the Forth.

Drawing has advanced a little, I'll send you where it stands, I need one more live session but can do some textural and shading work from pics I have - if it rains. Golf all booked in for Gullane, the West and the Glen here!

Have you been on your jaunt over here? If so, hope that it was a good, relaxing and fun trip for you.
i have a date for mine now too. a year away but so much to do.
Fingers and toes crossed, 4getmenot

Thanks for your kind messages.
It is in June next year. Las Vegas. We have been engaged 14 months and Vegas was just going to be a holiday when we originally booked. However, neither of us wanted to marry in the UK. We flirted with the idea of marrying somewhere exotic but getting friends and family onboard and all the co-ordination involved seemed too much hassle. Neither of us are big "wedding people" and we wouldnt throw a big occassion just to please friends and family.
So...... We have booked an intimate chapel wedding in Vegas, complete with helicopter ride, Limousine hire and then all the rest that comes with Las Vegas!
Just the two of us and we are currently planning a reception back in the UK for around 80-90 of our friends and family, but keeping costs relatively low as we have only been home owners for a year or so and we want to be married yet save for our future too.
It isnt everybody's cup of tea, but for us, this is perfect.
do you have to get witnesses in vegas? mines in aug at what looks like an old barn then marquee
We were married in Las Vegas - enjoy!

4get, yes, you do need witnesses in Las Vegas, but the chapel will provide them if necessary.
It would be so cool if they provided two Elvis impersonators as witnesses lol

I hope you have a great day (and you too 4get)
