Can anyone help find the father and mothers maiden name of ( Elizabeth) Lizzie Roan b1907 on 1911 census. It shows Mary as Lizzies mother (b1885). I cannot find a suitable marriage for a male Roan around this time and it doesnt say on 1911 census Marys marital status. I know Mary married in 1913 to John W Billsberry, and its thought to be her 2nd marriage.
Elizabeth Roan 1907-81 married in 1930 to Francis McGuire, and I know it might say on the marriage cert who her father is, but trying to avoid if I can
Any help appreciated. Thanks

I would expect that Lizzie was illegitimate and no father's name was included in the index. I've double checked and there is only the one mary roan born leeds in the 1880's on the 1911 census, think it's right.

Looking at Bilsberry births around 1913 shows a Catherine Billsberry born 1914, mothers maiden name Roan so this could be mother Mary who perhaps never married after all. What do you think ?
it was possible for parents to marry after a birth registration and the original regisatration would be amended to legitimise he birth child.
whereabouts would they be living
there is a Mary Roan, born Leeds on the 1901 census for St Peter's Leeds and she is aged 19 in 1901 living with her family. In 1891 she is 10. Her birth is registered in Q4 1881. Her father John was born Irelans and her mother Mary maybe nee Tansey.
