Legally Married Or Not!
25 Answers
It has been suggested by my brother that our parents were not legally married. This was during the war, my mother made all the arrangements but she added a letter "s" to his surname on all the documents. They always used the name with the additional letter. When dad died many years later we realised by his birth certificate the difference in his name. Does this make any difference to their marital status?

I was guilted into changing my wedding day as a friend wanted to get married that day, same church, same reception venue. My father catering for the reception(s).
Poured with rain, father heroically carried umbrella above himself on walk up to church. Ringlets straightened. Elderly reverend gentleman (friend of father) completely lost the plot. Had to prompt him. Called us Man and Life.
Hymn started eventually, much to his surprise.
Confetti in my soup at reception, Best Man embarrassing. Groom slept on Wedding Night.
