Ikea Kitchens
3 Answers
I want to replace my existing kitchen and like some of the storage ideas that Ikea have. Would anyone recommend Ikea and particularly their design and fitting service.
Thanks in advance.

I planned it myself, so cannot really vouch for that. I did not have Ikea fitters, and that was probably a mistake in retrospect. Ikea units are different from UK designs, particularly the cabinet backings are more flush with your walls. That means electrics and plumbing will probably need to be moved from their existing places.

I agree with both the previous posts.
Togo - Definitely check out Howdens, I've fitted loads of theirs, good solid units for the price.
Gromit - Ikea's kitchens look great, but not (very rarely) straightforward to fit.
Minimal service space at the rear of the units often results in having to cut them to allow for pipework.
A 75mm service space makes a quicker and tidier job.
