Child Support - Who Is Right? Help!

Hope someone can help with the following please...

My daughter will be 18 in July. Up until December 2014 I paid child support to her mother directly. In December 2014 she was kicked out by her mother and went to live with her grandparents. At this point I paid the child support directly to my daughter.
Last summer I found out that she had moved out of her grandparents and moved in with her boyfriend. I pointed out that now she was living as an adult I didn't have to pay anymore. She told me that they had sought legal advice and as she was still at college I had to pay and also her boyfriend (who is 21) was acting as her carer as she was under 18. I relented and said I would pay until she was 18.
I also phoned the CSA who told me that I was not legally obliged to pay anything after she moved out of home in December 2014.
A couple of months ago I found out she has left college and is doing a "home course". I too sought legal advice and was told by a solicitor that the CSA are wrong and that my daughter could take me to court and claim child support that way.

As she will be 18 in less than three months I am not sure what I should do when she turns 18. I have always tried to the do the right thing (but got nothing back) but am worried that if I stop paying I could end up in court or worse.

erm you have had all the legal advice you need

all you need do is pick a course of action .....

I thought you only had to pay if after the age of 16 if they were in full time education. I very much doubt a 'home course' is full time.

As to see what course she's studying.

You are responsible whilst the child is in full time non advance education - the same rules apply for Child benefit and child tax credits - both of which her boyfriend could be claiming for her!!

Now she is doing a home course CB and CTC are no longer payable - but as her father should you not continue contributing until she is 18?
