What is the best way to keep socks and or baby shoes on an 11 month old boy, not yet walking? His Mum has not got into the habit of not putting them on him, thinking he won't get used to them! Now it's almost winter and every other child everywhere we go, at least has socks on,if not some kind of shoes. They put some on him today before getting into the car, by the time they'd driven the few minutes to me, he had pulled them off and was laughing trying to throw them at me!

having two children of my own,i know it can be quite frustrating when thay wont keep socks or shoes on.It is quite natural for children to pull off shoes and socks but you should get him used to wearing them,he needs to be able to walk in proper shoes too.he will soon realise his feet feel cold if keep taking them off.good luck.
I think tights might be the way to go as he can't pull them off (unless he's really really determined!).  I've put huge long socks on my little one in the past, but the older she gets the cleverer she is at learning how to take them off.  Hope she doesn't grow up to be a stripper lol!
Lol- there's many a trip i've taken only to find i've arrived with baby wearing just one sock, the other is usually laying forlorn on a pavement somewhere :-(
i used to buy plain white tights and put them on my little boy, they kept his legs all toasty and are hard to take off!!
I have exactly the same problem with my 11 month old daughter, she hasn't worn socks since she found out how to pull them off. I have tried the tights too, and although she couldnt get them off she got so frustrated and upset at all the pulling, that i took them off! So sorry, im no help but you are not alone!
