Do I Care Too Much About My So's Appearance??
23 Answers
When I think of my SO and I think of them looking like one of my friends I don't feel attracted to that image even if I picture the same personality. Or when I think of my SO with some physical characteristic which I wouldn't find too attractive then I just don't enjoy that image as much. I would pick them over someone more "attractive" because I find them super beautiful and I love her. Do I only care about looks?

It's unclear to me exactly what your question is, or perhaps more accurately what the concern/circumstances are.
Everyone would prefer their SO to look physically great but it's not the priority, especially as one gets more mature. Looks are superficial when looking for someone to share a life with. Compatibility is more important. I suspect you are overanalyzing when looking for a partner, so, yes, you do seem too concerned with physical appearance. Go out and find someone you appreciate for who they are, and not look for a particular list of 'must have' characteristics.

Once you get to know someone their looks become less important. It is their personality, intellect and how you interact with each other that is more important. You seem to be basing the relationship on looks alone which is very superficial. Does she make me feel good? is what you should be thinking.
I'm confused when people say "them" to denote a person of non-specified gender, and then refer to that person as "her" in the same sentence. I assume "them" and "her" is the same person here.
You say you find them/her super-beautiful despite other people being more attractive, so I guess you don't only care about looks. However, the fact that you are asking this question about their/her looks suggests you do a bit.
It's a quite confusing question over all.
