Are My Parents Right To Threaten Me With Severe Punishment If I Sneak Out To A Party ?
43 Answers
a few weeks ago I got put into lockdown as a punishment for shoplifting, my parents let me off a few days early if I promised to behave, in 2 weeks time there is a party I want to go to my parents said I cant go as there will be alcohol etc, I planned to sneak out and go, my sister told my parents, and they said if I went I would receive 2 weekends of lockdown ( LOCKED IN MY ROOM ) last time I got locked up I HATED it so much, I cant bear this punishment again, my parents said it is a deterrent and it is MEANT to be tough.
my parents think the party is tonight, but its in 2 weeks so I have a chance of sneaking out and getting away with it, I really want to go but I cant afford to get caught as I CANT do the punishment WHAT DO YOU THINK ?

And you can’t see a problem with this... hmm I think you are either not old enough to be making these sorts of decisions and should just do as your told. Or too old to be living with mum and dad and should get your *** off the ground and get yourself a place so you don’t have to sneak about and lie.

I don't know why, but all of a sudden Mollykins springs to mind. I'm not saying it's her but a very similar style of posting.
parents;;;The sooner you make sure she knows her behavior is against the rules, the better chance you have of breaking her of this bad habit. One effective method of discipline for teens is grounding.
