Help With Getting Property Back From Ex Partner

Please help any advice??

Could anyone advise what course of action or procedure i can take to help my son (or give him advice on how to get his possessions from his ex) (without it costing a small fortune in court costs!!) he has moved out and she is refusing him access to his things (not purchased together)this includes Clothing, TV, Laptop, xbox, tools ect... he is happy to leave things that he purchased for the home but would like his personal things returned, and she is point blank refusing to meet to hand over or let him collect.

Has he got receipts? Long shot I know.

He does have some receipts, bank statements to prove purchases

I had the same problem years ago when I left my husband. I rang the Police and explained the situation and they met me at the house and waited until I had got what wanted and then made sure he didn't follow me when I left. Hope this helps and he gets his stuff back!
