My neighbor next door is not complying with the law and I reported them on the police web chat.
A visitor has been drinking in the garden with the neighbors all night.
The neighbors is in their 50s probably still young and not fear of the virus.

Good for you.
Jesus wept. You are a terrible neighbour.
Well done, lol.
Be warned, under FOI rules in the US snitchers have been snitched on.
Might happen here.

Deskdiary, I wasn't going to mind other people's business if they are not afraid of the virus. But I do not want them to occupy other patients bed in the hospital.
***, you’re just sticking you’re nose in and acting all high and mighty my posting about it on here.
How far apart are they sitting?
Question Author
Next to each others, 0.1m apart.
Stasi love your type.
Are they an item? That's very close.
4 inches apart, tut, tut. They may as well be sitting on each other's laps.
Keep an eye on them, Newbie, and keep us informed. This could get steamy.
Have they got an attic?
While you can (if you're so petty-minded) report someone to Pc Plod for leaving their home without a legitimate reason, you can't report them for not observing social distancing because there's absolutely nothing in the relevant Regulations about it. ('Social distancing' is only guidance, not law).

As far as the law is concerned, your neighbour is acting perfectly legally if he/she invites a hundred friends into his/her garden for a party and hugs and kisses every one of them. It's only the guests who're acting illegally by leaving home without a valid cause. (The 'restrictions on gatherings' within the Regulations only apply to public places, not to private property).

God almighty. If you were my neighbour I would be drinking all night in my garden as well. I haven't had a beer since January 6th but some things drive one to drink. :-(

No wonder the death number is keep on rising.
//A visitor has been drinking in the garden with the neighbors all night//
They might have been staying 2 metres apart, and the visitor might have brought their own drink and glass.

My neighbour has a regular evening guest. I wouldn’t dream of snitching on him.
Oh, just read the bit about them being 0.1 metres apart.
Ok, but still, as Chico has said your neighbour hasn’t broken any rules.

It's four inches, Jo....if we had a visitor who snuggled up that closely to Dave I'd be worried....but not about the virus..... ;-)
This didn't go very well at all.
I was in Tesco the other day, following the one way arrows around the shop going up and down aisles that I didn’t need. I had to pass through a group of 3 Tesco employees who were chatting at the end of an aisle. They didn’t move to let me aside with the requisite 2m space. So I went through them tutting and shaking my head. I don’t think it helped much.
