My 21st as well , I love a party, it’s Mr Bs worst nightmare ,well they do say opposites attract :0)

50; Working away in Hartlepool - decorated 6/7 houses, living in first one we decorated (Furness street as I recall)
60; A few quiet drinks with family and friends
70; Five more years for that one

It is sometimes , sadly, better looking backwards than forwards.
20 my friends celerated more than I did. Came home with pierced ears
30 with a lover
40 selective amnesia
50 Mad fancy dress party friends still talk about today
60 terminally ill husband died 10 days after 61st

20 - my ex whisked me off to London for a spectacular weekend. He bought me a stunning diamond and sapphire ring from Selfridges and then took me to St Lucia for a fortnight.

30 - Dinner at Los Remos in Javea. Asked for a bottle of Cristal but they didn't have any.

40 - party at our old house. Drank loads. Found out I was pregnant 2 days later then miscarried a week after that.

50 - Husband and I will both reach this milestone within 6 months of each other. He wants to do Route 66 and I want to do tour of Latin America. We'd better start saving!
You have a better memory than I.

Cheers folks, some happy, some sad. All part of life's rich tapestry.

Never quite sure where the apostrophe goes.

Route 66 sounds good

I wouldn't mind doing a tour of the USA , including all the backwoods / Dodge city towns
We'll do both, Baz, no doubt. We haven't actually had a formal honeymoon yet.
Baz, America is wonderful but do it before the insurance premiums for going there hit the ceiling. I've visited about half the states but nothing much in the Midwest and now I'm too old.

I can't remember any of my birthdays at all except for one where we'd won a trip to a posh hotel in Monaco.

Latin America also sounds good

jno
How old are you then - why are ins premiums expected to rocket ?
I'd like to visit the Alamo. Just to see the spot where Ozzy is alleged to have relieved himself :-)
(Yes, I did watch the prog where they absolved him of the 'crime')
my wish list for my 75th is to go to Russia, walk across red square and go on the Siberian express
Ken , I didn't know you were a bobby.

Were you like PC Penhale ?
Baz, premiums take a big jump when you hit 70 because you're deemed more likely to need medical attention. That's true wherever you plan to go. But travel insurance to America is already high because of the huge cost of medical treatment there.
Can't wait to hear Retro,s Story.
