Yesterday we had heavy snow and stayed indoors all day. Beautiful to look at, and a good day to read and relax.

Today it melted completely and the sun came out. We've been in the garden, tidied a border, sheets on the line, a different day altogether. Just baked a cake, and about to cook dinner.

How has your lockdown weekend been?

Our snow has nearly gone too, just a lazy day as we always did on Sundays anyway
No snow here this weekend, just dull, dark and chill.

Usual weekend of crosswording and chatting and good food with some evening TV thrown in.
Usual weekend here too. Dog walking, some housework, cooking a nice dinner for tonight - beef meatballs today.
was a sunny day for half of today, then sun went and became quite chilly, had to pick up meds from Boots the chemist, then met a friend for a takeaway coffee. back home and put my ready meal on, lamb hotpot, which i just about ate, now time to sit back i guess... quiet really...
Oh and watching DOI too!
Maydup. I hardly know it's the weekend. We did walk into the village today. We took a bag and a picker stick to gather any litter and there was some! Can't blame the tourists.
We then wandered around the strangely quiet village and took photos for a quiz trail Dave and I are working on. It was a fund raising idea for tourists. We would normally have thousands of tourists each year but we won't be selling many this year the way things are going and folk behaving.
Dave had a stroll around the maze on the edge of the village. I don't go in without a trail of breadcrumbs.....because he'd probably just leave me there...... ;-).....stay safe...x
Me too ILM , looking forward to it
what's DOI?
ok must be Dancing On Ice?
There's a couple I'm looking forward to seeing Bobbie - Denise Van Outen and Billie Shepherd. I bet there'll never be another Ray Quinn.
Yes, Dancing on Ice emmie.
We had a vulnerable friend round for dinner last night so the weekend was taken up with cooking and cleaning, a bit of gardening today along with dog walks leftovers for dinner tonight
Hope so ILM Ray Quinn will take some beating though
never been attracted to this show, even though i like ice dancing, used to go skating when young,
its been chilly here but no snow, I'd love some. We (me and the dog) have had a very trad sunday....lie in, coffee, and the papers, hot lunch, afternoon nap, tea and home made cake. I was planning roast chicken for dinner but we are too full!
All the days blend together now. It's only the evening telly that's different. I'll be watching The Great Pottery Showdown, followed by The Great....hope there isn't a banquet scene like last week's. ;)

I loooove the Great Pottery Showdown. I havent ever watched DOI, it makes me feel nervous just thinking about people skating for fear of them falling. Silly really but I wouldnt be able relax watching it.

Days are blending for me too. I went for a walk with my son sometime in July. I've only been to the local shop and once to the supermarket. My son sorts out my medication and I speak to my GP on the phone.

I've watched a lot of TV and the one thing I've noticed is a cry much easier. Usually at happy stuff.

I can't say I'm bored as such but I really miss my kids. My son used to pop in most days and my daughter each weekend.

I'm getting fed up of just cooking for us.

Maydup - I'm exactly the same with DOI. I can't watch it. It makes me nervous.
quiet - though have been waiting to hear from my eldest sis as she has been into the care home to see the Mater, who has been put on an 'end of life track' as the Mater hasn't been eating or drinking.

My sis should have been back home 45 mins ago but no news so I think she may have got through and is feeding her....if so, and as the Mater has a thing for cakes, is to drop off a headband made of a ribbon and a coat-hanger with a choccie éclair hanging off it!

The Mater has always been a bit of a drama queen when it comes to health etc, so 'a recovery' wouldn't surprise me, albeit temporary...she's slipping, yes, but they can review for the end of life path after 28 days and lift her out of it.
