To have a family with several children would it be considered to never let the children leave the home? How long is too long? Do you have to live in the city for this to matter?

Young children probably do need an adult to go with them not least to teach them how to play etc. No matter where children live they are safest with an adult or two being out with them...not least to show them how to clear up after a picnic...which people love in the nice weather
Turpin parents were prosecuted for same + cruelty.
