A couple years ago I was working on this old couples property. An old coworker of mine used to work there. They couldn't do it anymore so I took over. It was stuff like pulling weeds and trimming bushes. When my coworker was showing my around and what to do, she told me to just dump the yard clippings over the bank. It seemed harmless so I did. Well 2 years later and I found out its terrible for the environment and your supposed to take it to a place to dispose of properly. I think she is working there again, and probably doing the same thing. I kind of dont want to tell her. Would I be a bad person if I didn't tell her to stop?

No

Why is it "terrible for the environment"?
As with the previous answerers, I can’t see what’s wrong with that. Unless the bank goes to a drinking water supply.
Why this post? It was your mum in your previous one on the same subject!
Picked weeds and clippings are biodegradable.
I don't see the harm in fly tipping this sort of garden waste so long as there isn't tons of the stuff, and (presuming you're American) it's not full of poison ivy/sumac.

It can spread invasive plants. It can also spread invasive insects severely impacting grape, orchard, and logging industries.
