I know evestone is gonna say oh boohoo your life is perfect but please hear me out.

21F I work from home one day a week on a successful business I started, I have lots of money I can do anything, I have a clean minimalistic home, I am married but my husband works 8-12 hours a day 6 days a week. I’m an only child, all my extended family are gone, I have no parents, no friends, no way to make friends as I live in a retirement town and can’t move because my business is successful here. There is no volunteer work that interests me, I don’t want it travel alone and hubby can’t because he works, I’m allergic to animals so I can’t get a pet, I only have 2 to cook for so I can’t keep baking all day every day. And I don’t need a day job it would just be an unnecessary amount of money and stress. I have already lost a bunch of weight and worked on myself.

Basically I have all the free time, healthy, wealthy and in my prime and I have no idea what to do with it. Any suggestions? I’m so bored and lonely I’m so depressed and failing to see the point of life. I know I won’t be doing so well one day and I’ll wish I did more but I’m simply not interested in travel or volunteering. If you had my luck what would you do with your time?

You’ve proved to yourself that money isn’t everything. You need to have a Frank discussion on how you feel and discuss moving somewhere else where you might be less wealth but happier.
it sounds like you need a hobby! they can be great ways to meet other people.
Your successful one day a week business is stressing you but not fulfilling you. Maybe you need a vocational job, or a different career where the amount of money you can make isn't the only reason for going to work.
As for voluntary work, there must be something, somewhere that interests you.

Any suggestions? I already bake, workout, take photos, read, write songs. None of them are fulfilling and none of them fill in the 10 hours a day 6 days a week that I have to kill :)
take up painting.....
You are only 21. What did you do before you were married?

@barry1010 before I was married i was in high school and then I had a day job and cleaned my house on weekends. I came from a very traumatic childhood and I’m trying to find what I like and who I am now. So looking for some hobbies I can try that aren’t sewing and soup kitchen. I feel like I’m already good at everything I need to be.
Nobody is ever good at everything they need to be, there is always room for improvement.
Seems to me you are fed up with playing house already and you are no good at enjoying your own company or coping with stress. There's two areas you can work on improving.

I'm a bit confused reading that you are 21 .... in a previous post, you stated "I told my husband years ago that I am allergic to dogs" !
As you say you are wealthy, then you will be able to afford all manner of activities which we lesser mortals cannot afford. Money isn't everything ..get out and about, go swimming. I can't believe there
are no people in what you call a "retirement town" with whom you could make friends .... I've yet to learn of a town where all the residents are over 65.
You say you have a successful business making lots of money working one day a week. How about expanding your business, work more days then perhaps your husband could cut back on his hours giving you both more quality time together.
You could employ people and help your business grow.

What do you and your husband ever find to talk about?
Hazlinny, when you are 21 even two years is 'years ago'. :D
I'm confused - you run a successful business one day a week and have plenty of money .... yet your husband works 8-12 hours a day 6 days a week. Surely if you have as much money as you're implying, you could tell your husband to cut his hours, so then you could go travelling and spend more time together ..... and if for whatever reason he can't cut his hours, he could possibly find another job with different hours??

Am I missing something??
Barry/ Why do you always nit back at me for just a minor comment?
As for the OP - I won't be wasting any more time as I think things are not what they seem.
Haz, sorry you think that - I wasn't hitting at you, or not intending to. My young grandchildren barely in to their teens talk about 'years ago when I was a kid' and it amuses me. Your comment just reminded me of them.
Get into politics. With your gift of spinning a yarn you're a natural.
You have said you have OCD that impacts on your daily life and no doubt your relationship with your husband and others.
Now is the time to get therapy, spending so much time bored and alone is only going to exacerbate it.
Therapy won't cure you but it will give you the skills you need to manage it and not be a slave to it.
Get a puppy
Naughty, naughty, helen. Funny though

What is wrong with you all?! Someone asks for help with depression and needs people for support and you all bully me, call me a liar and nitpick the specifics? Where is all the help and support people say was there before people off themselves? Because I sure as hell can’t find it.

Is it just me? What is it about my presence that makes everyone hate me? No one in school talked to me, my husband doesn’t like me he just likes that I do laundry, my family don’t talk to me, I can’t even buy friends and everyone online boots me out. Then everyone will act shocked when I do it and say they never saw it coming. Brilliant
Nobody here hates you and I haven't seen any signs of bullying. I have seen some good suggestions as to how you can improve your lot.

I'm sure many of us, including me, would love to know how you have a successful company that makes a lot of money by working one day a week. A lot of us are struggling to pay our bills and feed our families so maybe you could give us some advice.

By the way, trying to buy friends is never a good idea, people can't be bought but they can take advantage of you.
