need ideas!!

Hi again, I'm in need of ideas for my art project as i am stuck of what to do! Basically the course we are doing about is Natural and Man-made Images. We've researched on Ernst Haeckel, Karl Blossfeldt and Georgia O'Keeffe..so i guess i could base some of my ideas on these artists' work. We've also recently done a batique involving close ups of a flower. My teacher told me to think about what I am going to do for my final peice and start to work towards it during the half term...so im just in need of some help at the moment. Im looking for something..well, unique and mind-blowing really! But any ideas at all are MUCH APPRECIATED thankyou. :)

IF you are looking for something botanical in nature, how about using all the different forms of plant pollen? You can find some fantastic pictures on the net which look almost like something alien in nature. Worth a look! Check out the entry on wikipedia.org for pollen and there is a great picture

You could look at the double helix found very often in nature and its mathematical breakdown. Thisnk of the patterns you find in the middle of a sunflower where the seeds form double spiral thingys.

I dont explain it very well but the double helix is everywhere. The eden project had a display about it in September 04. Fascinating

You could reallycreatee some interesting pieces looking at these patterns and taking the oideas further.
