Party for a six year old

Any ideas for a birthday party for a six year old boy - have had one at soft play and it won't be possible to have a party at home this year.

perhaps you could hire a church hall/community building cheaply, themes could be

harry potter

star wars

action man

other ideas

magic show

pass the parcel

treasure hunt

bouncy castle

instead of of giving out sweets you could give all the little guests a toy each from one of these pound shops. or you could relax and let mcdonald or burger king do it for you.

Ten Pin Bowlings agood one,my six year old loves it,as they have those special ramps for them to roll the balls off.Great fun!!

Oh and went to a farm party last year,they take them around the farm & let them pet the animals,sit on a horse,feed a baby lamb/goat.Bit different!!Good Luck!!

My nephew who just turned 6 is having a go-karting party this weekend. I think maybe 4 or 5 of his friends are going and then having mcdonalds afterwards. These kids parties all seem very competative these days.

I was thinking of karting but you have to be eight and over to go to the karting place here.
