I have been trying for a baby, and was feeling tired and just had a feeling that I was pregnant, even though my period is irregular (normal cycle is around 30-34 days), but I took a pregnancy test on day 25 (as one month my period came on day 28, and I was just taking a chance) but I got a positive result, I did it the next day and again positive (first response pregnancy test).
With my last pregnancy I suffered with Hyperemisis, which could be down to high pregnancy levels, could this be the case, or is there a chance I'm having twins?
First response are designed to give a result before your period is due, do you know how far you are? Maybe you had an implantation bleed and are further than you think and have higher HGC levels.
I had hyperemisis with my son, awful isnt it! This one i have had barely any sickness and just nausea
Oh boobesque, are you serious? you had hyperemisis with your son, and didn't have it with the next pregnancy? You have literally made my day:-) I could cry... All the research I've done on it suggested that I will definately get it again, to the point it took a lot of the joy away from finding out I was pregnant. I was dreading it.
ihave never heard that you will definitly get it again! I was told by my gp i would be unlucky if i got it again!
I had bad sickness with my first pregnancy, got the hyperemisis with my son and with this one i have been sick only a handful of times, a relief after ending up in hospital with my son! All pregnancies are different, so dont let stories scare you, the internet can be an endless worry!
I did. I thought I was about 8 weeks but went for a scan and couldnt see anything turns out I was only about 3 weeks pregnant or less when I took the test.
i have 5 children, but have had about 9 pregnancies. out of the 5 children that I have, I only had Hyperemisis once and that was with number 3. The other two I was very sick, but nothing like to the same degree and it only lasted about 25 weeks rather than the whole pregnancy.
I must add though that with the subsequent pregnancies after number 3, I was expecting to have terrible sickness and I think a little bit of it for me was expecting it to be bad rather than just getting on with it. I think the anticipation of a bad time made me convinced I would have one although there was no medical reason why it should have been.
My friend had Hyperemesis throughout her first pregnancy. She is now 5 months pregnant with her second and is overjoyed that she isn't suffering with it this time :-)
i did my test a week before my period was due and it was right. its was the first response. i recommend that one now to all my friends its really good.
