Refusing Grandmothers Access

Following the break down of my relationship with my mother, my brother assaulted me in front of my children and has since been issued with a caution by the Police. Some 7 months later after my mother ignoring myself and her grandchild's birthday she has applied for a contact order to see her grandchildren through the courts. Following the mental and physical abuse I have suffered I never want to see my family again, nor do I see it of any benefit to my children to see them following the abuse they had to witness. Would any magistrate in its right mind really want to to place a toddler in an area of conflict such as this?
