hi,christmas is coming,my son is 14 ,does any one know of any good lads films,like stand by me ,,he likes that 1,you know recent ones,that i can get him for xmas.i would really appreciate any suggestoins thank you.maybe some coming of age films would be good. thanx

The Goonies is a classic older one - similar vein to Stand By Me

"Holes" is a good film, about young lads who are sent to a correction camp in the desert and are made to dig holes. Naturally, there's a bit more of a mystery to it, but that's a good film for kids and adults to watch.

14 years old? How about ... Debbie Does Dallas or Deep Throat?
Failing that you could try Ferris Buellers Day Off... a cult classic mid 80's film with Matthew Broderick about a guy, Ferris Bueller (Brod') who skips a day off school with his g.f and best friend.
Very very funny and does not influence kids to play truant. Promise.
