An old school friend has died suddenly and i am trying to trace the whereabouts of an old classmate. I have searched on the electrol roll and have some leads.

The person i am trying to locate went into nursing and then into mental health nursing so is there a register or an organisation i can contact that may know his location? - take it he will be listed on some medical register or other.

there is the nmc (nursing and midwifery council) that register all nurses in the uk. i blimming hope they dont give out addresses though!!! I'd be hacked off if they did
have you tried friends reunited? either for your school, or for the university/hispital they attended for their training. you can do a name search on there
I doubt very much the NMC will help, and even if they agreed to pass on a letter from you, it would take ages. Even if you search the uni or hospital they trained at, they wont give out personal data either. Friends reunited is a good suggestion, even Bebo or Myspace.
