circle time is a good way for the childre to get tpo know each other and their teacher.
hi sara20
whwn all mine started at school when they went on there pre view visits they painted a picture of thenselves so they had something up on the wall when they started. They all loved seeing that picture.
Kids make friends very quickly they also change friends very quickly. Mine all had friends fron play group in the same class which helped. Plus the teacher was great and made my kids feel very welcome and safe
Kids settle in fine at school and teachers make sure tjhey are all happy and have friends.
There is nobody to help mums in the same way: they are the ones who worry about starting school.
Hi when my Charlie started school. A new pilot was being introduced for the new little ones. The teacher would team them up with a playground buddie. This was a child from their classroom, who they had to play with for the following week. They could join other couples of 'buddies' if they wanted to. The following week they would change their buddie to another and so on and so on for around about six weeks. My son was so confident after this time, it really worked and instead of having one best friend, the whole class was his best friend. Its such a great idea, I hope your school has heard of it, but if not im sure your child will be fine. I think us perants worry more than they do. Good luck.
