Any dentists out there, or children with dental issues?
My Godson is 5yrs old. He recently went for a tooth extraction at a local dentist. The dentist gave him a gum injection with a huge needle to numb the area pre extraction. As soon as the needle was withdrawn he started to fit and then stopped breathing causing massive panic. Fortunatly he revived, spent the day in hospital and is now back to normal. He has had anaesthetic before with no ill effects but not via needle to the gum. Isn't he a bit young to be having extraction via this method? The hospital are querying epilepsy (No signs previously) or stress of procedure. Any one had similar experience?
