Please Help!

My grand-daughter is very upset. A piece of a red paper napkin was in the pocket of her white jeans when they were washed with all the other whites. Everything is covered in red splodges.

Has anyone got any suggestions please?

Would it be best just to leave till tomorrow when I can buy a product to remove the red ( if there is one ) or try and do something with them now?

Thanks in anticipation.

I would leave them in water tonight and get some "colour run"
tomorrow or try washing them again in daz or ariel .
you need some dylon run- away, or glo white rescue they have it in most supermarkets or small hardware shops.
try some vanish in the wash.
but in future check the pockets.
its not rocket science lol
Dylan colour run remover is good - I've used it myself. You can get it in Robert Dyas.
I gather you mean the dye has come out of the paper napkin and not just that there's bits of broken paper napkin all over the jeans.

I would just bleach them. Do it in the washing machine and then wash them again with your normal washing liquid to remove the bleach from the jeans properly and from the washing machine. They won't go yellow or anything. I do bleach washes all the time. If you're worried try a patch test at the bottom on the inside seam - put a dot of bleach on, leave for half an hour then rinse off and see if the denim has gone yellow.
I wouldn't bleach them, i would buy one of those colour catchers from Asda, if that didn't work I'd boil them if they're cotton, bleach will only rot the cloth
I recently used Ecover laundry bleach (from Tescos) on some badly stained delicate items and it came up a treat!

You put it in the washing machine with your ordinary detergent and it takes out the colour without damaging the original colour of the item!

Thankyou, everyone for your suggestions and thankyou to legend758duo for the lecture on rocket science.
You can get these sheets from the super market that are called colour catchers. You put them in the washing machine and it really does catch the colours that run. I am always doing it!
