But now 17yrs later i realise it would have been better to stick it out at home for longer. I did manage to put myself through college but it was so hard as i also had to work full time to pay bills and eat. While so many of my friends were able to just spend money on what they wanted i never could. I now realise alot of the problems i was having were just normal teenage problems but i chose to leave rather than deal with them. Try and stick it out at home so you get to enjoy your teenage years.
I can only agree with the above post, I moved out at 16 due to family problems and only wound up with more problems! I found it increasingly hard to juggle college and a job so I dropped out of college, which I regret. Due to my age and lack of experience / qualifications I had to work all the hours under the sun just to meet enough money to pay the rent/ bills and i wound up getting myself into a huge amount of debt and consequently further financial problems, which I am still paying off! Please stay at home and try to stick it out, I know how tough it can be but it will be worth it I promise x
My mum worked with the social services for years taking in teenagers who couldn't live with their parents for whatever reason.
E.g.s would be it was too argumentative with sibling or parent; abuse that was either physical or emotional from a family or household member; too far from the college they were attending (if their family had moved house).
It was a great middle way for teenagers in real difficulties who still wanted or needed a stable family life.

Please ignore my answer as it was based towards someone in the UK. I hadn't realise you were in the USA.
You'll feel sick as a pig for a while moving. I moved a lot while I was young. It's OK, as it gives you experiences to discuss and learn from later in life. People will like you where you move to and you will be fine. More important, you will find new friends and keep your old ones. Just don't forget to keep in touch as you can have excellent holidays visiting the old home.

I couldnt wait to leave home at 15 and half mind you it was all down to the way of life in our family home.
I loved my parent and family but it got too much so I upped sticks and joined the army never looked back.
Sadly i got medically discharged or else i would have stayed in till they carried me out in a box etc
I met and married my penfriend and we have lived with the ups and downs of life for over 50 yrs now.
Love yer family but make your own decision there is help out there. Just take care and good luck in life
