Age difference

Right, so Im kinda getting close to this bloke - there has been lots of flirting, texting each other and a couple of drinks together. Its becoming quite clear that there is a spark between the 2 of us but the only thing that is holding me back is our age difference - he is 7 and a half years younger than me. Is that too much? Im soooo confused!

It doesn't matter what you look like, how old you are or anything - you'll always get someone looking at you and commenting - as that's what people are like. Go enjoy yourself - it's not anyone's business. If people do look it's generally down to jealousy and boredom!

I was 5 years older than my husband and it didn't matter a bit. Like cruella said, we loved each other to bits!
My son has a friend, aged 18, who's going out with a lass of 22 - his mum threw a wobbly when she found out, but her husband is 5 years older than she is & they've been together 28 years. I think people "judge" when the woman is older than the man, which isn't fair. If you've got a good relationship, go for it and never mind about the age difference (the older you get, the less it matters). K xx

My wife is 24 years older than me - we have been friends for 12 years, going out for 10 years and married 4 years next month.
It is not a problem at all - I have always appeared older and maturer than I am and my wife younger than she is.
If you are happy, enjoy the relationship and you will find that most people don't even notice.

Hi there, i'm in a relationship with a man who's 5 years younger then me. He's 19 and i'm 24 and to some people at first thought he would have been too immature for me as i've always been very head strong and mature but things couldn't be more perfect, we have great fun together and have already had a baby after just 2 yrs together and have gotten over things that would split families up. I truely believe that age means nothining when it comes to men. if their decent, their decent, age won't change that.i've had some really big age gaps in the past and no-ones ever made me feel the way he does and he was 17 when we met. So if it's what you want go for it, people will soon get used to it.x
Only 7 and a half years difference. No, that is not a world record age difference I have to say. I was shown interest by a woman 18 years older than me, but could not take matters further as it did not feel right, not because of the age difference. I feel that it is who not how old a person is which is important. My sister is engaged to a many who is 19 years older than her, and they could not be happier together. I personally would not mind any age gap if I had found the right person. So as long as the relationship feels right go for it. It would be a bit strange if you were exactly the same age right to the same birthday would it not?
