why answers removed?

wondering if someone can help me.... just started using AB and think its great but why does answers get removed when theres no swearing etc? sometimes it wont go through at all when questioning or answering and this morning spent time replying and emailing people been communicating with few days and after say an hour it was taken off!!!! they would not have even seen it, why is this happening?? its so frustrating please can somebody wise me up.

happened to me too recently so had to change name

it is suprising when you see the language in SOME of the replies

I think that some posts(that arent offensive/abusive etc) get removed cos people get together and decide to report them for the hell of it. A couple of years ago I had a reply removed on here and all it said was 'eh?' How that could possibly be seen as a post that needed reporting is beyond me lol

i recently had a complete post and all the answers banned, i emailed the ed and she emailed back almost immediately and apologised and replaced it, so i suppose sometimes it is a mistake

I've had some answers removed. People have suggested that they were posted twice by mistake. I mailed the Ed, but had no reply. My replies were really tame, not racist, sexist or anything controversial, so I didn't really understand. I asked a perfectly reasonable question lately and one particular person was really horrid for no reason and these posts weren't removed, so I have no idea how it works. But, hey, you aren't on your own!
