Can He Force the Sale

I seperated from my husband of 13 years (unlucky for some) in July 07. He has paid no child maintenance and has not seen his boys since October 07. Ive made an offer to buy him out of property (50% less child maintenance at CSA rates current til the boys are 16) which he has refused. Im paying everything, mortgate, loans, life insurance etc. He wants the house sold, can he force this. Friends of mine have told me he can't do that until the children reach 16.

How is the house owned? Is it in joint names or tenants in common? Either way go and see a solicitor as soon as possible. You can then get everything sorted properly.
