192.com doesn't come up with any results for a Dennis Wolfe in Wales but I feel that it's only fair to warn you that there is a death of a Dennis Wolfe recorded. Unfortunately, you have to subscribe and pay to view that record:

However, it might simply be that (like most people) your father has simply ticked the box, on the electoral registration form to exclude his name from the 'edited roll' (which is what 192.com uses as its database). The last year when the complete electoral roll was available to the public was 2001. I've got that on CD and the only Dennis Wolfe in Wales was listed as living at:
