my 14 and a half mongrel bitch went midding 12/02. she is black with a grey face. she is 18 inches high at the shoulder. she walks slowly and limps. she was fat with short legs - looked like a little pot bellied pig! can't walk far and doesn't stay out many minutes. disappeared and hasn't been seen since. tried rescue homes, vets, put notes and picture through nearby letterboxes, ad in local paper etc, etc. anyone reading this who knows anywhere this dog could be, please post. missed badly. dog is called Ziggy and was wearing brown plaited leather collar and tag.

I had a beautifull German Shepherd and he died during a castration op in September last year he was just 11 month old. I can feel your pain, just dont know what to say. Hope this turns out all good news in the end. Please keep us all posted. i'll be thinking of you x x
Hiya sheila 2155 I have kept looking on here for news of ziggy. I am so sorry that you still have not found him, what a worry it is for you. Poor ziggy he must be very distressed, I only hope that you find him. I live in Saddleworth a bit away from you but I will keep a look out. You never know he just might have wandered as Alt is not that far away. pussxx
hi everybody
Ziggy is on missingpets.com and lostdogs.co.uk.
really praying she'll turn up but i think someones knocked her down and removed her body or someone has taken her in. however, she had started drinking a lot and peeing all over the kitchen floor so I presume someone wouldn't have kept her long.

Hi Sheila. I really hope you have some luck and find her. It's awful not knowing what happened. It happened to my auntie's dog some years back. I've been thinking, after reading your description of her ageing problems do you think maybe it's possible she knew that the end was near and went away to slip away quietly somewhere away from her family? It sounds like it was out of character for her to go away otherwise and as it's an instinct for dog and cats, and other animals to do this... maybe that would be an explanation for why she never came back. I really hope you find her though or at least find out what happened. Best wishes...
