Women and Boots the Chemist.

This morning I popped in to Boots the Chemist in Totteridge. Firstly it was bloody heaving, but that is not my point.

I went in in for shaving balm (�3.99), Blades (�10.99) and some pit spray (Adidas buy two get one free at �2.95 each).

I thought this was rather expensive for mere abultions.

However, there were two women in the queue before me and although not paying great attention to the contents of their baskets, their bills were �125 something and �220 something!!!!!!

They really didn't have that much. There were little pots of jollop, some smelly things, boxes of face tricks and wotnot. The really expensive stuff I believe have their own counter like Clinique (Sp??) and the perfume counter etc.

Whilst the women in question were attractive to a degree, they didn't come accross as particularly wealthy or supermodel quality.

So my question.

What on Gods earth do women spend their money on in Boots?? I am wealthier than the average McDonalds worker, but even I would wince at spending �220 on a basket of beauty products or whatever. They did so without so much as a bye-your leave. They both had a club card as well which indicates to me this is a regular shopping spree.

However when I pop into boots to get some bits and pieces I easily spend �40- �60 on my beauty products! They are expensive, but I need them.

Why do women need eyelash evening thickener or whatever!!!!

Depends what you're buying, �40 on shampoo, conditioner, mousse, facewash, moisturiser, shower gel, deodorant , shaving stuff and makeup lasts me about 3 months at least so not so bad really. Cheap compared with the money men spend on watching sporting fixtures ;-)

you earn lots of points buying stuff in Boots!! ive collected almost �50-60 worth of points every year!! i tend to buy all my toiletries from there, only when its in the special offers. im a loyal customer and i get quite a few vouchers with extra points and freebies :D i love shopping at Boots, but some are quite expensive so i tend to buy it else where. it is also for your convenience too!!!

Most of the branded stuff is just as good as the supermarkets own!!!

The toiletries in Aldi are superb!!

It's not too bad, I don't spend that every week, more like every other month. And it's on all my make-up, toiletries, sleeping aiding tablets and perfumes.

And we need all this stuff so we can remain looking lovely so you smelly unkept men look at us!! ;o)

People do spend a lot of money on toiletries. My monthly avon bill is usually around �90 - �110.

I have a clubcard and I do not have boots spending sprees, I buy what I need which is fairly inexpensive, I suppose it depends on your circumstances.

Go to any game shop and watch grown men part with over 100 pounds for games, or spend 100 pounds on trainers..

Perhaps it was their birthday and they were treating themselves. Perhaps it's their only splurge and they don't smoke, drink etc etc. If that's what they want to do with their wedge so be it - there's worse things you can do.

It depends on the women really.

Feminists such as myself are invariably fat, hairy lesbians who are to busy looking dyke to bother with make up. But, apart from almost non females as described, your generalisations are absolutely spot on.

Its why women often can not be trusted with money, even the income they have earned and its much better if the menfolk have control and just give out a little for pin money now and again.
