If you don't need the money, you can secretly save it in a high interest account for her to help her when she leaves home.
As she is now a worker, I think it is time she understood the household budget, if she doesn't already. Tell her how much the mortgage/rent, insurances, gas, electric, phone bills, council tax, water rates etc are. Write it all down so she can see how much it costs to run the home.

my brother pays my mom 50 a week which includes everything, double room, internet in his room, sky tv in his room. he moaned at first so she wrote down everything she pays out a month and said that he pays her either 50 a week or because it is only the 2 of them living there she will half all the bills and they go 50/50. he soon changed his tune then
When my children are old enough to pay board - if they do!! - I'll suggest they pay a third of their wages. They'll be encouraged to save the next third, and spend the remainder on whatever they like. Then when they move out, or reach a certain age, I'll hand back what I've saved for them. If you charge too little, they're never going to understand how expensive it is to live away from home - but we haven't got to that time yet. When it comes, I'll probably be a huge softie and let them off!!!
