Wedding table names
7 Answers
I want the flower decorations in the middle of the table as usual and want table names which are fishes names (dont ask!) How can I name the tables centrally apart from sticking the names on a spike out of the flower decoration which may be a bit dificult as there will be a candle in the centre too? Any ideas gratefully received!? Thanks

Our neice was married last year and they had train stations as their theme (her husband to be was from London and she was from Wigan each table was a station on the journey south) they had a big table plan as you went into the reception with an explanation as to the table names, this provided a good talking point for poeple who had not met each other before.

my husbands a sailor and we named each table after names of make of boat like merlin rocket etc I printed them on card and folded the bottom so they stood on the table. Your florist my have some ideas if they are doing the flowers. I did mine myself and got some twisted wire coming out of the top for the table numbers.
I love this idea of naming the tables. i went to a wedding and as the groom has a yacht, they named the tables after all the places they had sailed. I hope to have a 40th birthday party and and to name the tables after tv shows like Mary Tyler Moore, Sex in the City, etc.
The ideas put forth by the others sound great. I agree with asking the florist for ideas.
