Cliff Richard

Cliff the peter pan of pop has just released his autobiography, My Life My Way, in it he reveals his close relationship with former priest John Mc Flynn. Cliff says he doesn't like living on his own, but now there is the usual speculation of an adverse relationship. Why can't people have same sex relationships without being branded gay or lesbian! Or is Cliff too much of an Icon for all to overlook his personal life!!

And to be in the public eye as a single man for that long with mere speculation, no accusations or dirt, is a minor miracle really.
I enjoy his music - it's pleasant enough and some of it is rather very good

But people are sexual beings, naturally, instinctively. Only if he was one of those who never get the urge would he not fancy a bit with someone at sometime. Surely, come on, get real. Is he claiming celebacy? Even nice christian guys with a hit record evey decade are still hot blooded males of the species and want a good sh@g now and then.
I used to tolerate this freak because, you know, that's all he was and pretty harmless in the grand scheme of things. But I've heard things about his 'extra-curricular' activities in the 1970s (from someone who worked backstage on his shows) that certainly didn't point to his being gay. Something else, maybe, but gay, no!
Whether he's gay, straight, bisexual or celibate these days wouldn't matter a jot to me. Whatever he is, I don't like him! At all!
