Child Benefit--Celebrities- Royalty

As Child Benefit is not means tested etc, Do you think Celebrities like Madonna and members of the Royal Family and Politicians claim Child Benefit! If they don't { as obviously they don't need it} do you think they should claim and donate it to charity!!

Yes morally they should, but they probably don't bother to claim it. But of course they may well make substantial donations to charity anyway - if they don't shout about it from the rooftops, we will never know will we?

Why shouldn't they claim? They pay taxes just like anybody else and are contributing to the next generation. Madonna lives in US so don't know if it isn't means tested over there.

I know that Francis Rossi of Status Quo never claimed child benefit for his children.
