The amount payable will be based on the 'middle of the range' rental figure for the area, and any difference would need to be by negotiation between your friend and the landlord.

I suggest she tries asking her Local Authority rather than you asking an internet chatroom.

I know someone (who is on her own though) who has to pay �60 a month towards her rent think the benefit office pay �405 but could be wrong (something like that though)
