Die-cut paper images - how to cut wooden mount?

Hello
I have some lovely die-cut paper images that I'd like to mount on a suitable lightweight wooden surface.
This is to make jewellery such as pendants and ear-rings.

I'm not sure whether I need a die cutter to cut the wood to the outline of the decoupage 'scrap' or if there is an easier way of doing this.
I don't have a ban-saw or anything like that.
I also don't want to do this on a massive scale so won't be investing in any hefty or expensive equipment.
Advice please, Answerbankers?

The cost of laser cutting equipment is way out of most people's league.
For just a few pieces, it might be worth looking at getting a coping saw for the rough and a hobby hand/machine scroll saw for the fine cutting.

To smooth internal curves you can get little different shaped grinding stones that will fit on a dremmell or hand drill.

whereabouts in the UK are you? There may be a local supplier of mdf or something who can cut to size.

Lasercutting is very expensive but some companies will do small amounts for fixed minimum orders.

laser machines cost anything up to �750,000 so they have to make that money somewhere
