I am being bullied at work and it's getting where I am scared to go to work.
My manager isn't doing much to stop it from happening and I made the mistake of telling someone I was thinking of handing my notice in as I can't take much more.
I am now in trouble for saying this and have to attend a meeting with my manager and another.
If I get sacked for saying this what will my rights be?
I have worked there for over a year now

Ensure you have someone with you when you have this meeting to act as your witness. If you work in an Industry which has a Union, then ask a Union Representative to accompany you to the meeting.

I would also recommend speaking to someone at ACAS, so you can get advice on how to present yourself and know your rights. http://www.acas.org.uk/index.aspx?articleid=13 42
lil, you'd do better posting this in "law" because it involves employment law.

I wish you luck. I also have a bully at work but it's not got to that stage for me x
you can't get into trouble for saying you want to quit! stop worrying. you do need to make a decision if you are going to report the person for bullying - my advice is to tread carefully and only do it if you have hard evidence, people to back you up and good, solid representation. good luck and don't take any crap! x
I work for my father and on Friday I was suspended. Today I attended a disciplinadry meeting. He has lied through his teeth to get me out of the company by slating my work, etc but the real issue is that he needs someone to bully and I finally stood up to him.

I spoke to ACAS because the b*****d only gave me two days to give a defence. They were pretty good with advice. Better than going to the CAB who were actually quite rude when I made some enquiries.

So watch this space!
